14:00 Help to Nomad family's Tsagaan Sar preparation. Preparation for Tsagaan Sar begins a month before the festival. Families clean their homes, repair broken items, prepare festive foods and either buy or craft new traditional garments for the big day. On this day's eve, families gather at their parents' or grandparents' homes to feast together until they are full, ensuring a prosperous year ahead.

DIVE INTO THE MONGOLIAN "TSAGAAN SAR FESTIVAL"
Tsagaan Sar, meaning "White Moon", symbolizes a purity of intent and a clean spirit for the upcoming year.
On the first day of the year, everyone wakes up early and puts on their new or national costumes. Men climb to the nearest hill to watch the first sunrise, while women prepare milk tea to offer to the earth. After that, families leave home to visit relatives, friends, and neighbors. When a guest arrives, the host invites them in and greets them with snuff tobacco. Guests are then served milk tea, dairy products, steamed meat dumplings called buuz, and other delicacies. When guests depart, the host presents them with gifts to thank them for their visit.
A new, long-established Tsagaan Sar Festival begins at sunrise, where you'll learn about customs, traditions, food, and clothing, and visit Nomad families.
Return to the UB city in the late afternoon.
