DAY 1 UB CITY - MURUN /JULY 13, MON/
  • Breakfast in Murun city

  • Start the tour to Ulaan-Uul town

  • Stop at the 50*100 energy center on the way – It is located 30 km from Murun city. Japanese and Mongolian researchers have determined that it is an energy center located at the intersection of 50° North latitude and 100° East longitude on the globe.

  • Visiting the Ulaan Tolgoi deer stones, which are part of Mongolia’s ancient Bronze Age cultural heritage. These standing stones, carved with beautiful deer and other symbolic motifs, date back more than 3,000 years. Deer stones linked to rituals honoring warriors, shamans or ancestors.

  • Lunch in Toom brigade

  • 13 mounds of Darkhad Khotgor – Mountain pass leads into the vast Darkhad valley in northern Mongolia. The ovoo /mound/ worship ceremony stems from Mongolian tradition, reflecting a deep respect and reverence for nature.

  • Arrive in Protected Areas of Sayan Ecoregion - This region covers Tengis-Shishged National Park, Ulaan Taiga, and the Horidol-Saridag Strictly Protected Areas. These protected areas safeguard its unique ecosystems, rare species, and cultural heritage, while also supporting sustainable tourism and benefiting local communities.

DAY 2 MURUN CITY - ULAAN-UUL TOWN /JULY 14, TUE/
  • Breakfast

  • Visiting the Ulaan Taiga Museum in Ulaan-Uul soum

  • Khoridol Saridag Strictly Protected Area - As part of the larger Sayan Mountain system in northern Mongolia, this region preserves the high mountain ranges along with their unique plant and animal life, maintaining the area’s rich biodiversity.

  • “Duut” singing spring - The water of Orgikh Spring is very cold in the summer, yet it has the unique characteristic of continuing to flow even in winter without freezing, even at temperatures as low as –50°C. Next to the spring, a variety of trees and shrubs grow, including evergreen pines, larches, and aspens. It is such a beautiful spot that people often visit specifically to take photos.

  • Lunch

  • Head to Tsagaannuur town – It is a small border town in western Khuvsgul province, Mongolia. It sits near the Russian boredr (with Tuva Republic) and is surrounded by majestic mountains, rivers, and wide valleys.

  • Arrive in town and having dinner

DAY 3 ULAAN-UUL - TSAGAANNUUR /JULY 15, WED/

  • Horseback riding tour to East Taiga – Embark on a breathtaking horseback journey through the East Taiga of Khuvsgul, where endless forests, rivers, and mountains unfold before you. This adventure takes you deep into pristine nature, far from the modern world.

DAY 4 TSAGAANUUR - EAST TAIGA /JULY 16, THU/

  • Journey into the East Taiga to meet the Tsaatan tribe – One of the world’s last reindeer- herding communities. Experience their unique lifestyle, learn about reindeer herding traditions, and gain insight into their rich cultural heritage. Help gather firewood, fetch water, and join simple camp tasks – an authentic look at life in the taiga.

  • Lunch – Share tea and nomadic meal with local families, and hear stories of shamanic heritage and deep forest knowledge.

  • Reindeer life up close: learn how herders care for, milk, and saddle reindeer, try gentle riding and understand why these animals are central to transport, food and culture.

  • Stay in a Tsaatan Teepee – It is like stepping into another world. Inside, a warm fire crackles in the center, filling the space with heat and the comforting scent of wood smoke.

  • Dinner

  • Enjoy a campfire. Warm up by the fire, savor hot drinks, share stories and experience the magic of the Mongolia.

  • Reindeer riding – Feel the unique tradition. Unlike horses, reindeer are gentle, calm, and perfectly adapted to the forest terrain. Guided by local herders, you’ll try a short ride through larch woods and open meadows. Few places in the world offer the chance to ride a reindeer – it’s an unforgettable cultural experience.

  • Horseback riding tour to Tsagaannuur town – The rhythm of the horse and the fresh taiga air make the ride peaceful and invigorating.

DAY 7 TSAGAANNUUR - MURUN CITY /JULY 19, SUN/
  • Breakfast

  • Back toward Tsagaannuur town on horseback – carry home the unforgettable spirit of the reindeer people /Tsaatan tribe/ and their land.

  • After completing horseback journey, where you will switch from horses to Russian van.

  • Head back to Ulaan-Uul town and having lunch

  • Depart for Murun

  • Stay at the guest house in Murun

  • Taiga Festival

DAY 8 MURUN CITY - UB CITY /JULY 20, MON/
  • Breakfast

  • Drive back to Ulaanbaatar city

  • Our tour concludes upon arrival in the city in the evening. By this time, you will have discovered the stunning landscapes of Khuvsgul and experienced the unique nomadic life of the Tsaatan reindeer herders, and Music festival – memories that will stay with you long after the journey ends.
